It’s the most wonderful time of the year! The Nordstrom Anniversay Sale is almost upon us (a week from today!), and the online catalog is live! Have you ever used the online catalog before? Because it’s wonderful! Before going over my first picks, here are some key dates for you to remember regarding the sale.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Overview

If you haven’t heard of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale you are missing out! Generally speaking, most sales are only on products that are leftover at the end of a season. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is unique because it features new summer and fall items at discounted prices. Once the sale is over the remaining items will be sold at their full price. So by shopping the sale not only will you be saving money, you will also be stocked up on new items ready for fall!

Early Access: Thursday, July 12 – Thursday, July 19

Public Event: Friday July 20 – Sunday, August 5

Last year I signed up for a credit card a few days before the sale so I had the early access perks. You don’t even have to use the credit card, but just having one allows you to shop online and in stores a full week before everyone else. Some of the best sale items sell out in early access and were never restocked.

Using the online catalog is the best! You can hover over items and click on each one to pull up the pricing and other color options as well. It made it a lot easier for me to save URLs so once the sale is live I can just copy and paste the pages into my browser. This is especially handy if you’ll be utilizing the online pre-sale like me!

SHOES

There were a few items I regretted not purchasing last year – one of them was boots! A good pair of boots can last you for years. Plus they’re perfect for those wet, dreary fall months. I love the knee-high boot trend and these Sam Edelmans were calling my name! Here are some cute finds from the shoe department this year.

The majority of the tops I bought weren’t even featured in the catalog last year. This is a great time to stock up on basics – such as turtlenecks, sweaters, crop tops and tees. This colorblock sweater I found this year is SO cute! I’m sure there will be a ton of more cute tops as soon as the sale goes live.

DRESSES

Surprisingly enough there weren’t a ton of dresses I was crazy about. Florals and patterns are very in – especially for the dresses! I loved this jewel-toned dress, and I’m sure I’ll find more I’ll love once the sale officially starts.

Like the tops, this is a great time to stock up on your basics for pants too! BP and TopShop both have a ton to offer when it comes to a variety of jeans. Last year I bought my favorite pair of ripped black jeans and I wore them non-stop! Maybe you’ll find your next favorite pair at the sale too!

CARDIGANS

I think the second cardigan is technically supposed to be a pajama cardigan, but you can totally wear it during the day time! In fact, my mom gets a new one every year and she wears it to work all the time. No one needs to know it’s intended to go with your pjs – and you can be cozy all day long!

WALLET

I’ll admit, I’m very picky when it comes to wallets and purses. But I’m obsessed with this mauve color right now! And it’s from Kate Spade! Once I find a wallet or purse I love I will use it for years. So this cute wallet might be sneaking into my shopping cart this year, we’ll see!

One of my favorite purchases last year was a pair of Baublebar earrings! They were extra sparkly and so cute. When I found these J Crew earrings I knew they would be a hit this year too! They are so classy and a fun way to jazz up any outfit.

LUGGAGE

Ok here’s the tea – I bought these back in April and I’m totally regretting not getting them on sale. But I love them! They’re easy to move around the airport and the lock on the side is super cool! The zippers lock in and you can put in a 3-digit combination to secure it. Plus the blush pink luggage is very easy to find whenever I’m at baggage claim. So if you’re in the need for new luggage – this may be a good time to stock up!

BEAUTY/SKINCARE

I mentioned these last year and I’m doing it again this year! I’ve owned my Foreo cleanser for 3 years and I’m still in love with it. It makes my skin ridiculously soft after just one use and it does an amazing job of keeping my skin clear. It helps you get a deeper cleanse and it’s easy to use in tricky spots (like around your nose area). The Foreo mini 2 alone retails for $140 and you’re also getting the LUNA play too for $119! This is an extremely good deal – especially if you’ve been wanting to try the Foreo for a while but are hesistant about the price.

I haven’t tried the microneedling tool yet, but I’ve been hearing a lot about it recently! By puncturing the skin with tiny needles it can speed up the process of skin regeneration which can help with wrinkles, hyper-pigmentation, scarring, dull skin, etc. I’ve never tried it, and I’m obviously not a medical professional, but it definitely sparked my interest when I was scrolling through the catalog!
